Pastel Baby Shower

Our favorite baby shower colors are for sure the pastel ones! You cannot go wrong when you are doing a variation of colors to welcome a bundle of joy. For this blog, we will give you guys insider info on how we bring a idea to life featuring our favorite pastel set!

Pre-Installation Prep

When working with clients, they usually reach us over email to explain all of their wants and needs for their special event. For this baby shower in particular, the sister of the mom-to-be reached out to us. 

She explained that the couple didn’t want to know the sex of the baby, so they wanted the install to be fairly gender neutral. She told us that they wanted to incorporate hot air balloons and pastel colors. We made her idea come to life by creating a pastel rainbow theme including a hot air balloon with white balloon “clouds” hanging from the ceiling of the space.

Before the actual installation, we prepare a digital mock-up to visualize the balloons in the space. This way, the client has a preview of the finished product and we have a clear plan of where to place our creations.

Designs We Provided

For our design, we created two pastel rainbow garlands, one in the space’s entrance and one along the fireplace in the back. We hung the white cloud bunches to the ceiling with clear twine  to create the effect that we were in the sky.

As finishing touches, we hung inflatable hot air balloons along the back wall and placed the main hot air balloon structure in the front corner of the space. It’s very important to us that our balloons don’t overwhelm the event space, so we had to make sure all of our elements were spatially balanced. Our installs are meant to enhance the event, not take it over!

Balloon colors we used

To achieve the balloon colors our clients request, we often have to combine multiple colors through a method we call double-stuffing.

For this installation, we used bright colors double-stuffed with white to create the pastel rainbow look. We used green, pink, purple, blue, and yellow. We used these pastel colors in the garlands and as a part of the hot air balloon. For the clouds, we used regular white balloons of all sizes.

Both our client and their family were very happy with this install. It’s always a great feeling to make their vision come to life, and we love that we can relieve the stress of decor from the client.
