Step Up Your Fall Parties With These Foods

Fall is here, and so is the commotion of Halloween, game days, Thanksgiving prep, and family fun. At Party on Butler, we understand the stress that comes along with party planning during such busy times. Not only do you have to worry about decor, but also food, desserts, and activities for your guests. 

While we’re typically here to help with the decor, today we’re coming to you with some easy fall foods to step up your entertaining game. Whether you’re hosting football Sunday, a Halloween party, or a Friendsgiving, we’re here to ease the craziness of serving many people. Let’s dive in!

Signature Cocktail

In our humble opinion, any function should have a signature drink. It’s a great way to incorporate the theme or season of your party, leaving your guests impressed off the bat. The drink below is a pumpkin spice bourbon sour, but any drink with pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, or maple would be perfect. Of course, the drink can be a non-alcoholic mocktail or punch as well!

Charcuterie Boards

Did you really think we weren’t going to talk about charcuterie boards when talking about party foods? They’re functional for large groups, easy to customize for the season or theme, and just so pretty to look at (not to mention delicious)! You can go one of two directions with boards – either traditional or nontraditional. The board below is a traditional board with some fall elements, while the board below that is solely made of fall-themed snacks and treats.

Dips

Dips are perfect party foods all year round, but especially during fall game days. They’re easy to serve to guests, and you’re typically able to make them in a crockpot while you prepare other food. The one below is a BBQ Chicken Pizza Dip, but there are tons of dip recipes all over Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.

Sliders

Growing up, sliders were always a classic party food at my house. They’re pretty easy to prepare using Hawaiian rolls, and because they’re so small, your guests can have as little or as many as they’d like. These are dijon chicken apple cheddar sliders, but some other good options are meatball, ham and cheese, or chicken parm sliders. 

Festive Cookies

In the past few years, there has been a boom in custom sugar cookies. These cookies, or should we say works of art, are so beautifully made and match any party theme. While these custom cookies can be pricey, they’re totally worth the extra detail to step up your theme.

Mini Pies

When you think of a fall dessert, it’s gotta be pie! These mini pies make serving a lot of guests so much easier. Rather than slicing and serving each piece, each guest can take their individual pie. While this is a mini apple pie, you can of course make any flavor such as pumpkin, pecan, or sweet potato.
