A Rodeo for Two: A Blank Hall, Fully Transformed
The client came to us with one photo and a big idea. Here's how we turned an empty forest hall into a full western first-birthday — concept to teardown.
The Brief
The client sent us a single reference photo and one line: "I want a rodeo — but make it beautiful." A first birthday, a western theme, and a blank rented hall in the woods. No color palette, no vendor list, no plan. Just a vision and a date.
The Challenge
An empty hall is equal parts blessing and curse — total freedom, zero structure. We needed to define a palette, source props and florals, design the balloon work, and coordinate every vendor, all while keeping it feeling elevated rather than kitschy. Western themes tip into costume fast; the job was to make it editorial.
The Build
We landed on a warm, dusty palette — terracotta, cream and sage — and carried it across every element. Then our team took over the whole room: a balloon install anchoring the photo moment, styled tablescapes, florals, and western props placed with restraint.
The Reveal
On the day, a two-person team arrived with everything pre-built and installed it in hours. The client walked in to a finished room — nothing left to do but celebrate.
